Water Baptism
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)

Water Baptism is a command from the Lord Jesus Christ, the head of the church.
Jesus was baptized (Matthew 3:16-17).
Water Baptism follows the New Birth (Salvation) but is not essential to salvation.
Water Baptism is an outward physical sign of an inward spiritual grace.
Water Baptism symbolizes and reminds the church of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Stepping into the water symbolizes death, going under the water represents burial, and being raised out of the water symbolizes the resurrection of Jesus (Colossians 2:12)
